Online Learning Programs at Walden University
At Walden University, online degrees and certificates are offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Students can enroll in an online bachelor's degree program for child development, an online bachelor's program in computer information systems, and an online doctorate degree program in psychology.
Faculty-led discussions, readings, and assignments are part of the online learning experience at Walden, and in some programs there are face-to-face meetings. All students receive an orientation program that will help them use and understand the online learning environment, but the school recommends that you have a good knowledge of email, internet, and common desktop software before choosing an online program.
What's Unique at Walden University
The business magazine, Fast Company, gave Walden top marks in its 1999 review of online schools and noted that they were, “hard-pressed to give Walden any demerits.” U.S. News and World Report also gave good grades to Walden, referring to the school as "well regarded" in 2001 and as a "respected virtual institution" in 2000.
