About The Los Angeles Recording School
Established in 1985, the Los Angeles Recording School (LARS) is located on Sunset Boulevard, in Hollywood, California. The school provides hands-on training in professional music recording, audio engineering, and audio production techniques. LARS is a branch of the Los Angeles Film School and offers a one-year, "hands-on" certificate program to its students. LARS trains students in all aspects of recording session procedures and technologies, preparing them for entry-level positions in the recording industry towards a career as a recording engineer.

Online Learning Programs at The Los Angeles Recording School
A new class of students at the Los Angeles Recording School's certificate program starts every month. The school offers a part-time and a full-time program. The 900-hour program covers music production, digital recording, and audio post production for film and TV and is taught in both classroom and hands-on lab environments. It includes the initial preparation stages of equipment setup and preproduction, all the way through the multi-track recording process to mixing and mastering the finished product in stereo or 5.1 surround sound.
