Portland State University (PSU) is part of the Oregon State University System. Located in Portland, Oregon, PSU strives to be part of the larger metropolitan area and offers both undergraduate and graduate programs. PSU faculty and researchers are among those operating at the brand new Solar Research Center to open at Oregon State University that will be fully up and running in the spring of 2010. Online Learning Programs at Portland State University

More than 16,000 online students are enrolled at PSU. Using the latest technology, PSU offers online learning programs, including a combination of on and off campus learning programs with minimal residency requirements. Courses are offered at both high school and college level, including degree and independent study programs. More than 200 fully online classes and 250 hybrid courses are available. Graduate programs online include an MBA, a master’s of social work, and a master’s of software engineering.

What's Unique at Portland State University

The largest and fastest growing school in the Oregon University System, PSU continues to add doctoral programs as it grows from a liberal arts academy into a research-based university. These additions include doctorates in mathematics, biology, chemistry, computer science, and applied psychology. In 2008, PSU received a $25 million challenge grant for sustainability programs from the James F. and Marion L. Miller Foundation, the largest in the history of the state. In 2006, the Princeton Review ranked PSU among the “Best in the West.” In the 2007-2008 edition of Beyond Grey Pinstripes (a biannual ranking of business schools performed by the Aspen Institute Center for Business Education), PSU’s School of Business Administration ranked 22nd on a list of the Global Top 100 Schools.
