Northwestern offers some degrees online. Specially, students interested in health can enroll in the master's program and earn a degree in medical informatics. The master's in medical informatics degree is offered online in a part-time evening program. The program is aimed at busy professionals who live outside of the Chicago area. Each weekly class session is about 3 hours long, and in some sessions students will interact with faculty and peers. Other sessions will consist of independent learning activities. Students in this program should expect to spend about 10-15 hours per week on each class.
