Description:

The Intermediate CompTIA A+ Certification Prep course picks up where the Basic course left off, taking you right into the PC. You'll start with detailed information on installing and configuring hard drives and removable drives, and then spend the rest of the course knee-deep in Windows. You'll learn about the operating system from installation to operations, maintenance to troubleshooting. You'll learn to install, configure, and maintain hard drives, removable drives, and printers. Plus you'll learn Windows inside and out.

Goals:

This course takes you through the second of the three steps you need to become both a highly competent PC tech and a CompTIA A+ certified technician, 2006 style.

Grading System:

Instructor Bio: Scott Jernigan

With a Master of Arts degree in Medieval History, Scott Jernigan feels as much at home in the musty archives of London as he does in the warm glow of a computer monitor. Scott teaches A+ Certification and PC hardware classes around the country, including several stints at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA, Lucent Technologies in Baltimore, MD, and the United Nations in New York City.

Scott has also edited numerous computer books, including the best-selling All in One A+ Certification Exam Guide and the Network+ Certification Exam Guide from McGraw-Hill. Practicing what he teaches, Scott is an A+ and Network+ Certified Technician.
