What is a Technical School?
Technical School n : an educational institution that teaches students practical, job-related skills that can be immediately applicable when searching for a job. Technical colleges and schools often provide significant on-site, hands-on training in areas of study such as include information technology, criminal justice, business, health, and design. While many larger technical institutions may offer all of these options, some of the smaller, more local schools may specialize in a particular area.
Technical schools offer a variety of certificates and degrees. Schools may offer certificates or diplomas for areas such as HVAC training or automotive repair; associate’s degrees in medical coding or graphic design; or bachelor’s degrees in business management or information security. Depending on how much time and money you want to spend, there are many options for you.
